Sustainable Development Goals Prioritized by Owl Track

The Sustainable Development Goals were adopted by all UN Member States in 2015 as a universal call to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030.

The 17 SDGs are integrated, recognizing that interventions in one area will affect outcomes in others and that development must balance environmental, economic, and social sustainability. Each of them has a series of associated targets. Below is a brief description of them.

  • Partnerships for the Goals: Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.

Prioritization of SDGs and Selection of Indicators

For the purposes of prioritization, various factors were taken into account, such as the magnitude, severity, and likelihood of current and potential negative impacts, the importance of these types of impacts for key stakeholders, and the opportunity to strengthen competitiveness.

According to the possibilities within the reach of Owl-Track and the company’s objectives, the following SDGs are selected as priorities for this first stage on the path to sustainability. Indicators will be established that most appropriately express the relationship between the company’s activities and their impact, so that performance can be monitored over time.

The Sustainable Development Goals are the master plan to achieve a sustainable future for all. They are interconnected and incorporate the global challenges we face daily, such as poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, prosperity, peace, and justice.

The SDGs prioritized by Owl Track are:

12- Responsible Consumption and Production.

13- Climate Action.

17- Partnerships for the Goals.
